Pattern: Beautiful Donchou liner of a jumping carp. In this instance, the carp is representing a promotion at work. The
two calligraphy letters in the background mean "great jump."
Comments: Black Tsumugi silk, semi formal haori with 1 emboridered 'shadow' crest at center back . The crest is "Genji
incense diagram," encircled. This is the first time I have seen this particular crest.

Antique Kimono Haori Sumi-e MH99

Pattern: Men's Haori with a Sumi-e bird picture as the liner. Monochromatic ink painting (Sumi-e) of two big flying birds. Very minimalist in design, yet much is conveyed! These are quite avidly sought by those who appreciate the technique and the talent.
Comments: Black Tsumugi silk. No family crest, casual occasion Haori. Excellent condition apart from a small stain near left shoulder in the lining.

Men's Antique Japanese Kimono Haori, Himo, Peacock.

Here is a men's haori with a standing peacock in the liner, done in the sumi technique.  This garment has himo attached. The color is a very dark grey; almost an off-black color.

Pattern: Donchou dragon in a fan-shaped frame. Swirling clouds, poem and dragon are exquisitely detailed.
Comments: Glossy black silk, 5 family crests, so formal wearing is indicated. The crest is Umebachi plum blossom, encircled. Neck crest is slightly discolored as shown in the picture. There is a small stain near the dragon, but not noticeable enough to concern yourself with.  A chop on the lower collar strip adds even more desirability to this piece.
